I finished The Last of Us Part II This is my overall subjective opinion on the game. I've never been so conflicted on a game. If I had to describe The Last of Us Part II in two words, it would be a, "horrible masterpiece". It is the worst/best game I've ever played. Which is such a weird dichotomy. But absolutely true for me. The Last of Us Part II is gruesome, bold, and also downright trash. I do respect the artistic freedom that the developers took. A lot of video games have a cookie cutter approach to the story. The Last of Us Part II took a bold narrative direction that was cunning, but also very dissatisfying. Next the gameplay. There were moments where it left my jaw hanging. The sheer gore and brutality of the gameplay was very enjoyable. Literally blowing up dogs. The characters have very fluid animations that are very life like. Graphically; the game is downright gorgeous. A pretty game is just the Cherry on top. In this post apocalyptic world. What is wrong and what is right is irrelevant. The only law that matters is kill or be killed.
