in the middle of reading like 4 books (desperation by stephen king, then i put that down to read the bell jar, then that got boring so i picked up the cartel by don winslow but that read a lot like some shitty action movie so i put that on pause too) but now im starting to read the hobbit (i picked up all three at a thrift store months ago) and im a few pages in but it really reads like a book id pick up in middle school. its a really simple, easy read, and the fantasy feels rather whimsical and childlike (not negs, i liked harry potter for the same reason) but i hope it picks up as it goes on it gets a bit more serious and darker. i know its got evil doers but i just hope theyr describe in a way that gives a real juxtapose to the campiness of the beginning world so far
