When Wave Race 64 came out, its soundtrack by Kazumi Totaka got me into seeking CD albums of game OSTs, but there were nearly none to be found in USA. Japan got albums in CD and other formats available back then, which was sad to the U.S. that mostly preferred most prominent vocal music you cannot avoid and can get tired of. When Super Smash Bros. Brawl was first announced, that and night owl shifting in college made it more and more difficult to keep up with till the whole roster was revealed, then my father and stepmother almost killed my interest in about every hobby I had with their OCDish life concern issues.
