Ace Combat Infinity's out. Is anyone playing? I'm a week into it and using an F-14A Tomcat and an F-16C Fighting Falcon. It's a lot of fun. I prefer to specialize in air-to-air battle over air-to-ground battle. What do you guys think?

Self improvement is a journey and not a destination. I think we should always try to improve ourselves. The main thing is that you have to learn to be happy with who you are now, even if you plan to improve. I will give you an example concerning myself. I'm a fairly rotund guy. Right now I am working on losing the weight (12 lbs so far) and getting healthier. I admit part of the reason that I am doing this is to be more attractive. But I feel that it is only fair, as I tend to be attracted to slimmer women as well. At the same time, I don't feel there is anything wrong (other than future health concerns) with my being a fat bastard. I would never date someone who said that they would only date me if I lost weight, just as I would never stipulate someone lose weight for me to date them.

I think places like this are great for meeting people. One of the cool things about forums is that it's a little easier for everyone to let loose and speak their mind than in person. You're right about growing up and holding a job aiairuene. College itself can possibly do that too, unless you're living in the dorms. But then people in that situation tend to get caught up in the partying in which there's no shortage of "friends" or easy sex (act now and get a FREE STD!). I ended up so busy with school and finally work that I just didn't have time for anyone but close family. I've still got old friends I keep in touch with once in a while, but we're not real close anymore. If you don't keep your high school buddies it can be tough to make new friends outside of outlets like this. Work can quickly become the main point of social contact, unless you frequent clubs or parties and the like (in which case why are you on a dating site?). Friendships and relationships generally require some sort of proximity and/or frequent exposure to happen. Without some sort of social outlet, it's easy to lose touch with people. Forums like this are a great way for connecting people via particular interests, as opposed to simple proximity. If you think about it, the odds of any people on here actually meeting in person would be fairly slim, but this forum makes that possible. There could be 20 people in my apartment complex with similar interests or who are relationship material that I'll probably never meet, since we're either inside our apartments, at work, at school, running errands, traveling, or whatever else. And there's literally nothing but one wall between us! I believe that at some point not only relationships but even friendships will be primarily formed online, as it's easy access for anyone and everyone and helps people to categorize themselves so that you can find people of similar interests or mindsets. In person, you're really taking a chance because you just don't know what a person is like until you get to know them. For some people, it was already too late at that point and sometimes there can be rather devastating consequences for getting close to the wrong people. I wouldn't say a place like this is 100% free of that possibility, but certainly not as up to chance as meeting people in person at random.

"You'd almost need to allow users to anonymously vote on each others appearance to build a reliable definition of a persons physical appeal, but that's just cold :\ " Lol, yes, and some dating sites even go and do this already!

Oh, excellent, another Virginian. Also, a belated welcome. As for where to post... Just choose what makes most sense. The site really isn't set up all that well or managed very well, it's just what you make of it. People here are usually very friendly even if not all that active.

Well the age gap doesn't really matter as long as it's of legal age or consensual from the parents. Like having a 25 year old with a 15yo. However, that's just from a lot of parent's point of views. I on the other hand, think love is love, regardless of age, gender, race, species, object, whatever. Because: 1. it's none of my business who you like, unless it's me that you like 2. it's natural for people to love, taking that away is like trying to take away fish ability to breath underwater. You can try, but it won't happen. 3. As long as you're responsible, or even irresponsible, it's you're decision

Kigurumi "disguise pajamas". You can even buy one in Japan. If the weather is cool enough, just toss one on. If you do decide to do a kigurumi, make sure to accessorize with maybe a fun colorful bag, necklace, bracelets etc.
