yeah, buy a new one. Not worth the hassle to take the SOB apart, spend the same amount for a new drive that you could buy a new system for, and try to put it back together. as for missing balls.... at least you don't have to worry about little PS2s running around....

^lol,circle of scratches sounds familiar i cleaned mine and it worked fine but my balls were/are intact thank god

I'm still curious why in the middle of your post you say that you "looked down and noticed your balls were missing" Like... Not even I could come up with something as spontaneous as that. And I'm pretty random.... Refrigerator.
