Confessions

I never said most of that. Yes, some people don't have substance outside of anime, but as I mentioned, there is more to life than anime. I'm sure people have other interests, so why not get into those? As I mentioned in my last post, I get it, it's more or less an anime site, fine, but people need to wake up and realize there's more to life than anime. If you're going to talk to someone and expect to keep interest, broaden your horizons. Talk about something besides anime for 700 posts. Also, the amount of children here frustrates the hell out of me as well. There's my confessions for the year. Edit: I never called it a sinking ship.

Pffft... This place, a ship? Maybe a life boat with a few leaks. I understand exactly what jiko is saying and I've said basically the same things. But, I realize no one is holding me captive and I don't have to be here if I don't like it. Yes, most here are quite "vapid" in there conversations, but if I'm not making a change in a consistent sort of way, why should I complain? I've calmed down a bit from my critiques, because NO ONE WANTS TO CHANGE. If someone is unwilling to change, move on. Now, I'm not saying this in a way that's meant to be rousing, I'm nust saying that at some point you can either find something to enjoy or move on. There are a few that come on here that absolutely can and do have conversations that don't revolve around anime or gaming. But, it's like going to a McDonald's and complaining that they have greasy, low quality food...What do you expect?

I agree, there are a few people I can hold quality conversations with, and that's awesome. I'm awesomely not saying that most people here suck, are dumb, or what have you.. I'm saying there is no substance. I can joke around with people, and have in the past, but it becomes the same thing over and over. It's like if I told the same joke every time you saw me. It gets old and annoying fast. Also, McDonald's has good fruit and yogurt parfiets (sp?), but I wouldn't order anything else. Maybe an iced tea.

See, even McDonald's has a couple reasonable things...Anyways... I'm going to make a delicious, homemade apple tart and do some cleaning. Sheesh... My fiancee is working and I'm the housewife. What a time to be alive!;P

I haven't been to McDonald's in years. Anyway, if you take what I say personally, it's unintended. Unless I specifically say a name, please don't assume I'm talking about you (That's also a generalized statement). If you want to watch crunchy roll everyday, fine. You do you. Anime can be a fine ice breaker, but it shouldn't be the constant and continuous theme of the entirety of the conversation. Also, don't say what you say doesn't matter. Everyones opinion matters, even if it's not agreed with by people. Do you think my opinion here is liked or agreed with? Of course not, especially since it's (I guess somewhat) anti-anime on an animal website, but my opinion does matter since it makes people think,just as yours do. Maybe not asshats. His opinion doesn't matter since he's engaged... only his fiancées opinion matters now.

I confess that I think Jiko is getting too much stick for saying how he felt. Isn't this the whole point of this thread? To confess how we feel. People are nit picking everything he has said and it seems pretty pointless to be fair. Leave the dude alone ffs. He can like or dislike who he wants.
