home cooked meals don't have to be expensive, as a matter of fact if you're cooking for one they're actually pretty cheap. I really like light creamy pasta dishes. Such savory flavors. Also I think everything in Shokugeki no Soma can actually be made in real life and theres a book on the different recipes used you could pick up.

@lamby I think you missed the "cheapskate" part of my message. I don't even like spending $30 a week for bread, milk, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, sandwich meat. @yass Yeah I'm not sure I even have around 100 extra lately.

if your ok with eating left overs for a few days i recommend using that 15 of that 30 on ingredients noodles cheese pasta sauce eggs cream cheese bam, ziti

plus, you can only cook it once a month save the whole month and splurge a tiiiny bit on ingredients for a whole cooked dinner
