Personality wise hell yeah she is my gf material. I don't look at how a person looks I look at their personality and from what I see from the anime the bit I did see she is basicly an outcast tying to fit in but can't like me.

well even in the anime shes called ugly xD thats just what bothers me in there world shes ugly, but people act like shes cute xD now i LOVE watamote, one of my favorite and dearest animes, as she reminds me of myself, mainly in highschool xD but follow with the anime and manga, shes not a good person, she SOMETIMES has good points but otherwise shes not very nice and quite blunt xD

I confess my problem with Tomoko is she is under the constant illusion that everyone cares about what she does. So at any given time she is in constant fear of being judged by the people around her... As a character I find her almost impossible to relate to. It is just to far from reality.

I'd say tomoko is attractive but by most standards she wouldn't be. Her being scrawny doesn't help. Thin is popular but most don't like overly scrawny types from what I notice they like some toned girth on them. Though, being a guy with a lot of girth myself scrawny types are kind of attractive. In terms of face, that is a hard one. In anime/manga they usually put freckles to indicate unattractive facial features but they didn't do that with her. Her cheeks look fun to pinch also. I'm thinking if she shaped up she'd look very nice. In terms of personality, she is still a teen. Also she is mostly isolated and her family largely ignores her. She has few friends. Her mom probably pays the most attention to her but more just a mom and her dad is hardly there but he seems nice. Her bro is just mean to her. It's kind of the archetype of Asian familys these days. Isolation is easy to get into especially since she doesn't have much of a presence at school. Her only friend is herself in a way. She thinks way too much which actually reminds me of myself. It's like a storm in my mind so maybe I like that quality in her especially since I could help her overcome it. I'm thinking she could blossom a lot over time. Wow, I'm making this all serious. @lamby Yeah I know she has insecurity and I think she portrays that character trait pretty well but she also is extremely narcissistic. I would give the anime a 6 or 7 just wasn't my cup of tea. I like my narcissistic characters to be able to back their self aggrandizement up.
