Sooooooo..... I have been enjoying reading the various responses on two threads about the whole "looking for love" topics. To me, its always such an interesting word, since it encompasses soo much in such a small simple phrase. Due to this it is over used and generally means nothing....
So. what is "love" to you? What does it mean to you? Describe the feelings/emotions/reactions it creates with out actually using the world "love" to simplify it.

Humans as creatures are innately prone to offering help and assistance when they see someone in need of help. It is quite sensible to assume a lot of other social vertebrates feel love too.
A better term for love is altruism, in which studies have shown is actually hardwired into us prior to birth. When we see love as a word, it's either addressed as a behavioral instinct, or used as an inflection of pleasure.
Although both usages are highly synonymous, they are two slightly different things in human cognition. One being a drive to charity, the other an acquisition for some form of gain. For the most part, they both make you feel good. It's intuitive to presume them to be mediated in the same neural pathways due to that fact. What makes it more interesting is that the neurotransmitter Dopamine modulates all this activity. Which is responsible for fear, paranoia, anxiety, and aggression. It better to think of it as the chemical responsible for our anticipation of events. The same chills you get when you listen to your favorite song, is the same chills you get from being frightened.
So in a sense, love as altruism, is a virtue we come to know as sacrifice. A unique way for us to feel good letting something go.
Maybe some people can see this as an understanding to why some people do stupid things when they're in love.

love is exactly what it says on the tin,a feeling, that overtakes your entire body heart mind soul everything and if your in love with someone then it means that your whole body mind heart soul legs arms all of it are now dedicated to making this person happy love is like an exchange of hearts you give yours to her and you look after hers love for our familys is that sense of obligation you get when you need to help them the sadness when they leave us.love is a force to be reckoned with. love is a battlefield love is not a chemical inbalance love is not a lie love is real and it doesnt have a form it is everywhere id even go as far to say love could be what people call god but i think we would be crossing a line into belief and i believe in love but we love music and animals and family all in different ways from how we love bfs/gfs but the reoccuring aspect i often see is caring and passion whether it me a passion for music or in the bedroom love is alive in all of us but each to there own

TRUE love is like a reflection...
When you're miserable, it cries.
When you're happy, it smiles.
When you want its attention, it will give you eye contact.
When you speak out, it won't tear you down.
