(Sorry if someone else has already posted a topic similar to this.) So my nephew and I have been playing this whole weekend with my brothers NES and with his PS2. I have to say that I love the old game console better. I love "Kirby's Adventure"! <3 Anyway, which game console do you guys like better and which ones do you hate? I hate the Wii. ):

I'm a casual gamer, so I don't really HATE any console... but I grew up with Nintendo, so they're the ones who get my money. The N64 was probably my favorite if only because I played that the most out of anything. And while I do dislike the Wiimote for its lack of feedback, it does have two chief advantages to its competitors -- it's cheaper and I can play old Nintendo games.

I grew up with Nintendo as well, but I was disappointed with the game releases for the Gamecube and have a general dislike for the company for targeting families as opposed to gamers. I still play the older systems, but now I play on the 360 for the most part.

Lets try the to figure out the systems I've owned over the years - NES, SNES, Genesis(Sega CD/32x), Saturn, Dreamcast, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360, PSone, PS2, PS3. Nothing beats the golden age of gaming on the NES though. Those games are classic..plus 2D outlasts 3D games any day. Ever try playing an N64 game now? Really hurts your eyes. (Kirby rocks btw)

I love my PS2! I play the KH series, Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter, Cookie and Cream, Zapper, MGS3, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, etc.

I've always been a firm believer that the Japanese lead the way in the videogame industry. They have had the most <i>experience</I> and <i>resources</I> to make high quality games. Because of this I <b>hate </b> Micro$oft's attempts to poke its nose into where it doesn't belong. The first Xbox had a <b>crappy library</b> of videogames that were poorly design that were prone to glitching. I do own an Xbox however I only own <b>Japanese</b> games for it. My driving decision to purchase Japanese titles that were available for the PS2 on Xbox was because Xbox was pushing EDTV 480p and 1080i resolution games. That made games visually looks a lot better. For an example, I own Fatal Frame and Fatal Frame II for Xbox. I ran them side-by-side with the PS2 versions and I was amazed how much more "enhanced" the game was in 480p. Colors were<i> richer</I>, graphics looked more <i>detailed</i> and <i>smoother</i>; I was also amazed that the Xbox handled audio quite well. I just wished PS2 had more HD resolution games like <B>Guilty Gear XX</B>. Now I know Japanese games have their share of design flaws and glitching however, in comparison to USA made games, <i><b>USA holds the gold medal for that.</b></I>

I bet most of ya haven't even heard of the USA video game company called <b>"LJN”</b> that made <i><b>horrible games.</b></I> They are so bad that the <b>AVGN </B> constantly goes off about how crappy that company is; I agree with him. (I've been playing games as long has him, probably longer than most of ya too; I know what I'm talking about.)The main reason why I hate the Xbox is that majority of the gaming library are FPS! <I>The best platform for FPS is the PC, end of discussion!</I> Same thing for the 360, majority are FPS. They only became more popular since America’s “War on Terror”. More and more FPS just catering to America’s endeavors to <i>“restore peace”</i> or whatever you want to call it with guns.

Whatever happened to <b>FUN</B> FPS? Goldeneye on N64 anyone? Which I may add was made by a UK company and <I>NOT</I> from USA. A funny fact about FPS is that they are most popular in North America however rarely do well overseas; most USA made/designed games tend to do poorly in Asia too. However there’re exceptions from time to time. I believe GTA 3 sold about 500,000 copies in Japan. Besides the Xbox, how many of ya played another successful USA made/designed console with good games? I believe the Japanese will continue to lead the way to the future in the industry. Now that I got all that out of the way, my favorite console is the <B>Sega Saturn<B>. I also have quite a Japanese Sega Saturn Collection with so many fun games. I probably play <B>“Magical Drop III”</B> on it the most. My grey Japanese Saturn from 1995 still works and works well!

I always like trying something new, but I know I plain suck at turn-based games (even though I love the Final Fantasy series). I just recently got into Tekken 6 and want to try playing the other games before it :3 I started off with a Nintendo 64, moved up to a Gameboy Color, then Gameboy Advanced SP (or GASP XD ), until I got a PS2 for Christmas, bought myself a Gamecube the year after, then a PSP when Silm for came out, and then just last year got myself a PS3 XD But I love Playstation systems the most. I can handle the controller better.
