I dont count dbz as anime so outlaw star was my first official anime :p

Digimon, Dragonball and Pokemon... When I was a kid they were on TV in the same period :) One of my all time favorite anime ^^

Well, I'd like to be clever and point to all the Americanized stuff I watched in the 80's along with everyone else who grew up then: Speed Racer, Robotech, and so on. I'm not quite sure those count though, since back then I wasn't really an "anime" fan so much as I watched cartoons and there was anime mixed in. So for me I think the beginning would be shows like Fushigi Yuugi and movies like Armitage III, the former of which was my introduction to the world of VHS fansubs and ended up being quite influential later in curious ways.

It would have to be between Digimon, Dragonball, Yugioh, or Pokémon.

Sailormoon and I don't care what anyone says everyone into anime likes at lest one person from sailormoon, good, bad or just supporting character they like someone.
