Took me a while to get over my last ex. She probably had borderline personality disorder. Whenever I suggested professional help she'd get mad cause she associated help with weakness. I remember when she dumped me she said "you remind me of all the stupid stuff my dad does." I just wish I could have connected better with her. Well, I guess there are all kinds of people in general. You are not going to click with everyone for sure, and there are a ton of people in general that just don't have their shit together in their own lives enough to really be in a serious relationship. But yes, there are certain minimum bars to set when it comes to looking for a person to be in a proper relationship with. Ex: I only want to be with people that are comfortable with trying new things and ideas. Learning when to call it quits for a relationship is also very important, you can never expect a relationship to work out in the long run with both parties being happy, if either side does not respect the other. Do remember the crowd of people this kind of site attracts, there is likely a higher percentage of people who are not ready for a serious relationship than you may have initially thought. That doesnt mean they dont exist here, as I am quite sure there are plenty. Personal experience is one of the best teachers. "Better to have loved and lost than never loved at all". Hanging your dirty laundry in public is a pretty tasteless move. I would recommend against that, as it is not exactly a sign to people that they should trust you with anything they may consider sensitive. I do also agree that this place seems to be far more a memefest troll-land than a dating site from my limited experience.
