honestly, the whole debate about plants feeling pain or not is so dumb, it's like asking - does this car has this type of sensor or not? like man when u kill it, you kill it. its dead. do not try to make yourself feel better that u stepped over a plant and not on a rat (or any other animal). what dies - dies. why do you think plants made spice or grew thorns? to protect themselves from being eaten.- or poison ?

i could extend this into veganism even if i conceded that they did feel pain because theres no way its as much as animals feel there for the "but plants tho" is a non argument as it still doesnt excuse the pain and suffering animals go through unless they wanna say its equivalent or anywhere near there i do not extend moral consideration to something that isnt sentient enough to have a subjective experience, so veganism STILL stands but i refuse to give even an inch in this debate that they might feel anything close to pain because plants do not feel as humans do they have no brains they have no subjective experiences
