they have a basic nervous system the ability to feel pain is extremely complicated, its not a simple sensation we could hypothesize but im more concerned with what science does know, and the scientific consensus is yes they do not feel pain now, the better discussion would be if the discomfort a plant could hypothetically experience is equivilent to the agony an intelligent animal like a pig goes through but even this is not conceding that they feel pain, its the scientific consensus that they do not and there is 0 proof they do

i agree they react to stimuli but they do not "feel" and even if they did have the ability to process discomfort they do not have a subjective experience and therefore i do not extend morality to them dude, just google do plants feel pain everyone says no, your just linking me stuff saying they react to stimuli in surprising ways even your sources do not say they feel pain
