Feels reminiscent of Slime, but as far as I know this isn't an Isekai, but a fantasy world with video game abilities. Still enjoying the show inspite of the edgy overtones. Think it helps that the characters have unique enough goals individually and different ranges of emotions to make up for the edgelords being edgy trope. Very hyper violent and depressing, but at least unlike Elfen Lied there are other things happening that aren't exclusively just that. Plus it helps the story doesn't shy away from the protagonist's hypocrisy in wanting loyalty when he's clearly not afraid to trade it away for his own convenience or that he justifies his own evil by simply assuming the worst in others. Yeah the narrative still engages in the sin of trying to validate Noel as being the lesser evil with a hand wave at times simply stating "the world's tough so either get good or die!" But the drama is definitely there and I feel most of the dialogue makes sense for the characters of that type of world. My favorite dialogue thus far being the protagonist fighting a man that's been sent to kill him. The assassin starts talking about honor and fighting fair to which Noel just says, "You're on a mission to murder me in cold blood, right?" And the other dude is like, "Yeah..." To which Noel says bluntly, "Well I didn't pick a fight with you and I ain't trying to die so you can honorable GTFO!" It got a rise out of me, hehe!
