nah the bible is just really contradictory because of the amount of times humans have tampered and changed it my pastor literally told us to skip the old testament cause most of that stuff doesn't matter anymore and just focus on the new testament i read the old testament anyways cause i was interested tho

Certain aspects of the old testament has been done away with, although, that is an interesting point. Because it does say to eat unleavened bread during passover forever. Yet jesus died and we stopped needing to do that. Despite him going to celebrate passover before his crucifixion.

However that doesnt apply to this, his argument is the bible is teaching people to rape their drunk parents. That is not what it did, it didnt advocate for that nor say it was right infact it did the opposite and is supported by that quoted post from the pages before. Which is vastly different than what that kid read in the video.

I mean the quote that yaasshat gave comes from a completely different passage so it doesn't necessarily disprove it since it was most likely written by different people with different ideals and while it isn't advocating for raping your parents saying the LGBT are actively encouraging kids to change your gender is a gross misinterpretation on the level of claiming that that passage is advocating for raping your parents since while I'm sure there are those who do encourage children to change their gender they're usually an extremist who share LGBT ideals or just some person who doesn't know what they're talking about since kids are too young to understand that kind of thing imo heck like half of the adults I met don't understand it

I'm just gonna give you all my two cents and gtfo. Do you guys know why Christianity isn't as commonly despised and hated world-wide despite the amounts of genocide we did on the middle ages in the name of god? Because we reformed, with the exception of the Orthodox church most branches of Christianity have reformed, some of them several times to accommodate for newer times and newer challenges. It is why some common misconceptions with other religions like the Sunni, Shia or Ibadi are frowned upon by the west, because some of their teachings haven't reformed since medieval times Changes are good, they help us evolve and become the better parts of ourselves, the church partially understands this and promotes said changes. Slowly of course, but any change in the right direction is good change.

Also, on pandys comment on the LGBT scene, extremists exist on every groups of any kinds, your comment is akin to as if I said "Christianity it's all about teaching lil kids that they should accept being sodomized by local priests" Has it happened? Just going to add... No parts of the old testament have been done away with... At least according to Jesus. Matthew 5:17-20. 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Yes sure extremists exist on both sides, but gross misinterpretation no. You can claim christianity has been toxic and trying to over reach in every scenario. While the genocides and all that, i cant really prove nor disprove there wasnt political gain there. Same way democrats want immigrants in the US because they typically vote Democrat, you can probably say the same for the monoarchs. Using religion as a way to rally support. Now as for the LGBT movement, why can there be a separation of church and state but LGBT is injected EVERYWHERE. Games, tv, movies, songs, schools, colleges, and these arent even in private areas. If someone wants religion in schools it has to be a private school. But if you want to talk about gay sex and transitioning its free game. They even are invading the chruches and we have them preaching God is trans. Does that seem like extremism from the far side? Because to me it seems like an everyday occurrence. I get it people dont like religion thats fine. But i cant go around openly hating trans and stuff irl. Cuz then you lose ur job you lose your status, you get deplatformed. All im saying is it is bein encouraged to children. I dont see preacher story hour in public schools. But we have drag queen story hour and drag queen lap dances and trans teachers with huge prosthetic boobs.

Also about the priest thing obviously every group has outliers. But there are way more than just some outliers here in the LGBT movement. With dylan mulvaney and herseys doing a HER/SHE campaign with a trans person for international womens day. Then replaced female models with trans ones, and bud light, and womens sports and the list goes on. How is this an outlier? Its a whole movement my dude. Religious groups seem to be the only ones keeping this at bay because of religious values. Otherwise i bet we would have bring ur trans child to work day every pride month. Edit: oh and they get a whole month to themselves, dont mention Christmas and Easter because i dont really think they are associated with Christianity. Or well not anymore if they were at one point.
