Vampire vs Zombie

@wolfneko do you think vampirism is contagious to zombies? id imagine vampires are immune to the zombie virus for awhile, unless they drink an infected human and it mutates through that

@momoichi well tbh... yes... I do believe in fact that a vampire could catch a zombie virus in the same way a human would if bitten. Why not? The virus is transmitted through the blood stream of its victim to the brain. Though it may take longer for that virus to be transmitted due to the fact that a vampires immune system would more than likely be stronger than a humans it would still eventually happen since the the virus is basically a parasite that multiplies and takes over the brain of the infected. And also... if the virus may take up to an hour or longer to turn a human who’s to say that a vampire may not unknowingly drink the blood of an infected human who was bitten say 2 hours ago? And if the virus is simply controlling the body of the bitten or infected they may not gain the ‘agility’ or smarts of a vampire but they will gain a slightly stronger vessel in my opinion.

@wolfneko well theyr two different species, so for the virus to mutate enough to harm vampires they would need repeat exposure via drinking infected humans this could take years, so its hard to say

@momoichi well theirs only one way to find out... we’re gonna need a vampire, a human and for that person to eat a lot of bath salts....... or just to find the umbrella corporation xD Though I have to be honest... I don’t think it would take years... a vampires body doesn’t function much different than a human beings, I’ll cope with double the time but not much more. And as the war goes on their will be a larger and larger scarcity of human blood which a vampire needs to survive. They have human emotions just like us and desperation would soon set in as the human population declines

@wolfneko hmm i imagine vampires having a slow metabolism because of their sleep requirements and liquid only diet wouldn't provide much energy, so i wonder if that would effect the mutation in some way? do you think vampires would have human emotions? i imagine they would adapt a sociopathic personality, which would also explain why they havent developed complex societies like humans have. id imagine they end up fighting and killing each other when the human resources continue to dwindle either way its truly a zombie win really. cant believe i was ever team vampire.

@momoichi I think the only chance the vampires would have is to end it quickly but with only having so much time per day and the fact that they may not realize just how short they are on time the victor would more than likely go to zombies which at first I was honestly thinking vampires but now... I think the zombies might just have to take the cake If we were talking skin walkers then this would be a whole nother story.

They would fare better cause they don’t have to worry about the sun giving them more time per day, time is really everything in this situation, you have to stop the outbreak before it gets out of hand. Once it hits that tipping point theirs almost no coming back

@momoichi Typically skinwalkers and vampires arient too much different. They’re just not affected by sunlight the same way a vampire is which I think is all a vampire needs to win the fight. As long as I’m not mistaken on skinwalker lore
