Vampire vs Zombie

Wait... I just thought about something... when the virus takes over it kills the host... does traditional vampire lore say vampires turn to Ashe when they die or is that the modern take on things? If they do turn to Ashe then the zombies don’t multiply as much and the zombies get starved more because regardless of everything the body has to have nutrition to function...
