Honestly I hate the fact that these higher ups gotta keep pandering to that group of boomers that wont be interested anyways. Anyways, I am not interested since it isnt gonna capture what made it so good. Same goes for Kimi No Na Wa (aka Your Name) an americanize live action adaptation wont capture the same magic as shinkai's work

To not even give something a chance because it's not a 1:1 representation is pointless. No adaptation in the history of cinema is completely faithful to the source material. Everything has significant changes. Does anyone give a af that Forest Gump isn't a 350 pound wrestler in the film, because he WAS in the book? Does it matter than Hammond doesn't fall down a hill and get eaten by a bunch of tiny dinosaurs at the end of the Jurassic Park film? Fuck no. Game of Thrones is one of the best shows of the last decade, and they made a shit ton of changes from the books. It seems pointless af to be like "Naw they changed X character from the book, therefore destroying the essence of the relationship as it pertains to other characters, so Imma not even watch it. Fuck HBO for not staying true to the source material." The Cowboy Bebop show is put together extremely well, and it's entertaining for what it is. Yeah, there's a lot of things they changed I didn't like, but I watched it and came to my own conclusion. Which btw it's a 6.5/10 for me.

The main trio of Spike, Jet, and Faye carried the show. Sets and costumes were cheap. Camera work was amateur. Julia/Vicious left a lot to be desired. Ending was questionable. A new show runner could make it a great show. 6/10 at best.

I just finished it. It was entertaining for me. So, like a 6.5 or 7/10 I think. Just don't go into watching it thinking it will be exactly like the anime and it's fine. All these negative reviews out there make it sound like complete trash, but it's not.
