Look, I am all for what DOGE has been doing and what RFK Jr. has been doing, but I think these tariffs are so fucking stupid. It's a stupid idea. It doesn't work. It never has. We can't just bully other countries to fix our trade deficit. The critical flaw of Trump is that he doesn't know how to re-negotiate trade deals for the beneifit of both parties. He knows how to do it through bullying, which just doesn't work. We now have boycotts of American goods world wide, American auto sales worldwide are tanking, and the stock market is crashing as foreign investors just leave. We should have: 1.worked with our allies for better deals diplomatically using our superior technology as leverage 2. took DOGE profits to fund efficient domestic production facilities to compete with cheap foreign goods. We figure out what other countries need, and build a base that exports it. It's not rocket science.
