Political rants

What about people who feel disenfranchised from their country? They don't matter? They're not worth reaching out to or having a voice of their own? Not everyone has the luxury of charity they might be in poverty themselves. Having people serve as mandatory looks good on paper but it's just going to be a chore for most people they're not going to feel more connected. What people need is incentive. They need a reason to do something. People today are not getting the reward of decent pay. That's what they need.

Citizenship is the incentive. The rights of a citizen.

And people in the military are paid. So it's not like you would go into this and have no monetary support. It would just be smart to align it in a way that you do the service earlier rather than later. It wouldn't even really interrupt too much. Say for instance doctors. Some doctors serve in the military before going to medical school. They actually get a lot of training in service that they use later on especially if they go into emergency medicine or trauma. There's actually several medical schools in the US that are on military bases for that purpose. Want to be a doctor? Join the military.

I said before I hoped this was a hoax. Going to be interesting to see what comes of it.
