the fact that the cops will ticket you is because its illegal, and they can issue a fine because of it. (actually i cant remember if florida still has click it or ticket laws, but thats just makes so much sense it proves my own point)

@momoichi You misunderstand my point. This is about misinformation. It does not help with transmission at all whatsoever. If you are exposed to the virus with the vaccine your body will get sick and have to fight it off. It DOES prepare your body such that you can fight it off faster and not get seriously ill. This has little effect on transmission. The transmission period is largely before you start showing symptoms to begin with.
To lean evidence toward (but by no means prove) this here are three vaccinated senators that caught the delta variant. These are people taking this seriously. People mandated to wear masks almost all of the time (government buildings).

So no vaccine should be illegal? What if i said seeing your bf is illegal because you could spread covid even if vaccinated? Does that sound good then?

I got the Pandy Vaccine, it protects me whenever I drop the soap in the shower and lowers the chances of Pandy appearing behind me by 50%

"this has little effect on transmission." so you admit there is some effect
if this isnt what you mean, can you link me a source that says the vaccine does not protect against transmission? preferably J&J because thats the one i got so i know a little more about it
as far as i know and was explained to by the pharmacist, my vaccine protects me roughly 60% of the time from catching covid when in contact with a sick individual.

Yes. Of course being sick not as long reduces the "surface area" for spreading it. However, it does not make a critical difference unfortunately. This is because it can still effectively spread often before symptoms appear (if you even have symptoms).
See the CDC update for July 27th: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html. You can also search this same page for "Fully vaccinated people who become infected with the Delta variant can transmit it to others." I'm not aware of any specific data that's available for this that I can access. The science can support this though. There are plenty of viruses we can get a second time and transmit. The effects are lesser, but we still have it, and can still transmit it.
The 60% efficacy rate for J&J that your pharmacist mentioned comes from the clinical trial. It is a measure of the relative risk reduction for the trial group at preventing moderate to severe outcomes after being infected with covid. The vaccine does not prevent you from catching something. It simply prepares your body for when it encounters it. That still a huge win, but it does mean you can transmit it until your body fully fights it off.

I'm exporting data from the CDC site. It's kind of a pain because I have to do it in chunks by state and others is combined. I'm hoping to plot vaccination% against 7 day cases per 100k to see if there is even correlation. Just poking around on the site it looked like the low transmission areas were primarily just low population areas.

CDC "proving" it prevents infection just means they havent seen a ton of cases of vaccinated people contracting covid. They arent testing variable such as mask wear, social distance, work environment. Because they cant survey the entire population. They just look at hospital numbers and make a determination.

So really we dont know for sure it actually helps. But the fact people are still getting sick tells me it doesnt
