@hell_hound7 Knowing the background on mRNA they will move to use it for every vaccine going forwards. It's very convenient for them. All they need to do is sequence the genome of the virus and pull out the part that encodes the spike protein. This honestly concerns me for the long term. Our bodies need to experience stress to some degree in order to be encouraged to fight things. Plain spike proteins effectively don't cause any real stress on the body and only utilize one portion of the immune system. @momoichi First, that map is from July. Second, you do realize this map is the perfect example of hiding data right? Where's the group for 40%+ vaccinated AND over the 100 per 100k group? It's mysteriously missing because it's inconvenient to draw attention to those occurrences. Basically the entire US is at "high" transmission right now (>100 per 100k). Seriously go actually poke around the CDC website for a bit: https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#datatracker-home

@umi_nezumi its a problem because its from a month ago? why? you gave me kind of a blank slate, can you link me where vaccinated people are more likely to catch it? and can you explain the logic in that? because just as a thought experiment it makes no sense
timelessness
Yes, getting vaccinated does not guarantee you 100 % immunity, nothing in life is 100 %. Most covid cases are related to unvaccinated people in the US it is about 98 % depending on the state. The least thing you can do is to protect yourself. You can look at science that will show the same results. You have a vaccine that has been tested like noneother. @umi_nezumi Are you working in health care or are you a doctor? The US in in danger because the virus did mutate which is not a new issue. The website you are refering to is pushing my argumentation. In general if unvaccinated catch the virus, vaccinated people have the issue to catch it too and moving on from that, everyone is a spreader but the vaccinated people have a much higher chance to live after getting covid/or not getting covid at all/or not suffer from long-time issues.

Yes It's a huge problem. The delta variant has taken hold quite a lot over the last month and a half since that image was captured. We've learned people can catch and transmit even with the vaccine. We've moved to wearing masks for vaccinated people again. Some places are locking down. Here's a logistics problem I have. Your source is not the CDC. Your source is an article that references the CDC. There is a MOUNTAIN of difference between that. Reputable sources are necessary for a reputable article; however, they do not make the article reputable on it's own. I'm saying you have to look at the data yourself. You can't trust someone to interpret it to you. You're just a sheep if you do that. Go straight to the CDC and make some sense of the data. It's work, I know. Maybe I'm weird, but I'd never put an important decision in the hands of someone who is a journalist for a living.

@momoichi do you get what im saying rn? You get your data from the CDC but if they say you need a 3rd shot (which they will) then that means it doesnt protect you at all. Because even vaccinated people had to get another shot in isreal and they are mostly vaccinated. Even the most vaccinated country in the world is having problems. Do not fall for this bs they are telling you dude. So much data out there contradicts each other

@umi_nezumi its referencing the cdc's research, which is normal for an article to do. thats why they cited them. if the article spinned that information than please show me exactly where (quotes from it that contradict or mislead from the actual research please) i dont understand your logic. if im protected 60% from catching it, how does that make me just as or more vulnerable? and stop telling me to look up my own data, that just means 'i cant tell you why myself, so go prove me right yourself' its literally a nothing term that is thrown around by people with no actual research they can cite @hell_hound7 someone is 0% protected from covid if you are unvaccinated. i am 60% protected thanks to my vaccine. how are me and the other person equal? do you realize you got booster shots growing up? thats lots of vaccines need them, that this isnt new? even if the effectiveness wears off, it doesnt mean im not protected at all, if anything if proves i have protection that can wear off.

@timelessness You are mistaken. There are many "breakthrough" cases as they call them. The symptoms are less severe. It does not prevent you from catching it, but it prepares your immune system for encountering it. There are reasons to get the vaccine. I'm not encouraging for or against the vaccine. But I am staunchly against misinformation and glossing over of concerns.

@umi_nezumi seat belts wont save you from dying in a car crash 100% of the time. should we not use them if they arent 100% effective?
hell_hound7
You dont have to wear a seatbelt tho. I mean if you get pulled over you get a ticket yeah comparable to getting sick. But you dont have to. And not havjng it on doesnt mean you die unless you getbin a crash. Dont get in a crash, dont get covid.
hell_hound7
Also for all the antivaxxers who deny covid vacvine and die from it i can almost guarantee they didnt social distance or use masks.
