Political rants

People die in car accidents but if everyone is following the rules of the road no accident, no one die. Same applies here there are rules and regulations for guns for a reason. Thats what im trying to say. Guns being banned is literally the dumbest thing. Because those who have it wont give it up, those who want one will get it illegally and now you have ZERO way to track if people have them. It is regression not progression

but our issue is there isnt enough regulation. and no one is saying to ban them? that isn't even possible in America with our gun culture again I'm admittedly still uninformed when it comes to guns, but i think the government better monitoring gun owners and having their guns taken away pending an investigation into their mental health is a good way to go i like a lot of Canadian gun policy from what iv heard in my mind I'm saying that we should make seatbelts mandatory to cut back on car accident deaths, and your saying 'well people wont wear them anyways if they didn't wanna, so why bother making it a legal issue?"

in florida though you dont have to wear a helmet on a motorcycle

@chocopyro I live in the only state where it isn't a law to not wear a seatbelt. Most people do anyways, but there is no penalty for not wearing one.

You cannot investigate anyone's mental health. Most of the people who run off and do these things arent getting help. If they never went to counseling and had abusive trauma from family how can you do that? Im just saying you cannot regulate any more, we have background checks, we have classes you needd to take places like california have strict gun laws that even gun companies have to make guns SPECIFICALLY tailored to California's laws.

@hell_hound7 there have been cases where shooters said some horrific stuff online and even said they would do a shooting and no one took them seriously this stuff isn't usually impulsive but planned and often vented about online in my world if people saw this they would call the agency and they would go down and take the guns and investigate and do a mental health screening if need be.

But how are we gonna see this? There are so many people on this planet. Maybe the ones closest to them are at fault for not stopping it

@hell_hound7 well it would be restricted to America, and I'm not asking for agents to spy on gun users online activity, that's over stepping, but for others to be able to report it if they see it and it works in Canada, they have access to guns too
