@kuharido It depends on the bean. There are a lot of light bodied beans out there that have been dark roasted to have less caffeine. Combined with milk and the right amount of syrup it can be very mild in taste. Typically people who are turned off to coffee have tried the black, burnt coffee that is common among non-sophisticated coffee preparation machines.

Never liked coffee but have been addicted to green tea (which also contains caffeine). It made my hands shaky, anxiety worse and heart beat faster (fast beating heart usually means more likely death by heart failure as it gets "used" so much). Realizing that helped me get off it. Generally, deeply understanding the bad effects something has on your life helps you get the conviction to remove said something from your life. I still make & drink one matcha a day but that's it.
