The Government of MaiOtaku

On this day, October 18th 2020, the colonial users of MaiOtaku choose to establish a more equal body of law. - This body will be made up of freely elected leaders, whose obligation to uphold the liberties of Otaku God given rights can not be ignored nor compromised! - In this, the people of MO, will split power to make and enforce laws in balance with the majority's will while not oppressing the minority's basic civil liberties. - Their shall be 3 main branches of government. The House of Representatives and Senate, a Chief Executive known to people as President, and a Supreme Court. - The duties of the House of Representatives will be to draft laws or rules involving matters of site needs. These rules must pass 6 out of 10 votes to be given to the next half of its branch, the Senate. - Once with the Senate, they must successfully vote an additional 6 of 10 votes. - If either gets less than 6, the new rule is considered rejected. Should this be within the Senate, they must allow the House to amend the rule at least once and then after the House may resend the rule back to the Senate for a second vote. If the vote fails again that specific rule can not be voted on again for 4 years time. - The Senate has the power to declare states of emergency with a majority vote of 6. - The House of Representatives will be lead by a House Speaker. The Speaker can run an unlimited amount of terms, but must be reelected every 2 years. All other members will be drafted by committee at time of need. The committee being whoever is available to do the job. - The Senate will be led by a Majority Leader. They shall as well serve 2 years with unlimited terms. The other members like the House shall be appointed by committee at time of need. - The Chief Executive known also as President shall have the power to veto any rule set forth by the Senate. The Senate may override the President with a unanimous vote of 10 to pass the rule or amendment. - The President will have sole responsibility in appointing the Supreme Court Justices. The Senate can however overrule said appointments with another 6 out of 10 votes. - The President will be expected to engage the common users of MO in a way that leads to the greatest productivity and fairness of the people. They should be willing to put forth the best representation of MaiOtaku's appearance as well as conducts listed within the "Thread of Rights." - The President may appoint also, any representatives of his cabinet to delegate oversight to various departments of the site's needs. The needs defined as any ruling not covered by the House or Senate. - In emergency or time of crisis, the President can draft any user to fulfill important tasks so long as it does not breach civil liberties stated within the "Thread of Rights." - Should the President fail to fulfill their duties properly, the House of Representatives may vote unanimously 10 to impeach said President. - The President may be replaced by their Vice President in times of resignation, impeachment, death, or any other state of being which prohibits their activities as leader. - The Vice President holds all the same powers as President when such opportunities are presented to solve a specific problem or challenge. - If the VP is indisposed, the task of President then is appointed to the House Speaker. If no Speaker is available then the Senate Majority takes command. If no Majority then the Head Chief Justice of the Supreme Court may take command last. - The President and Vice may serve 4 years at a maximum of 2 terms. The terms do not have to be consecutive. - The Supreme Court is a position of ultimate power granted only by the President. Their purpose is to rule on the rules if they are fair by civil means. If a rule is deemed unfit, the Supreme Court may have it removed with a majority vote. The Supreme Court can also place sanctions upon the President to prohibit certain commands with an unanimous vote. - There can be a minimum of 3 Justices with only 1 Chief Justice presiding. The maximum of Justices will be 7. The Chief Justice may only vote to break a tie. If there is a clear majority, the Chief cannot vote. - They serve for life. However they can resign.
