Anyone else find politics very off-putting? Seems like it's mainly for very opinionated and argumentative people who enjoy endlessly bickering with each other over topics that they're all too stubborn to ever change their opinions on. It looks way too stressful to get involved in, especially for something that the majority of us have no control over anyway. I can't help but view it in the same light as people arguing over which sports team they like more. Some of the more hard core politically obsessed types come across like nut jobs. Regardless of what side they take it doesn't seem healthy. I know someone like that and it feels so bizarre and almost scary how fixated they are with this stuff because they seem to revolve their life around what their side tells them to think and do, this while treating the other side like a boogieman there to ruin their country take their freedoms poop in their cereal ect. There's no middle ground, no reasoning, just stubborn mindless devotion. It's an eye sore when I see it in any community, and when the person I know starts ranting about it I can't help but zone out in silence while waiting for them to tire themselves out. Not like they want to hear my opinion anyway, which makes me wonder if they're really trying to convince me of what they believe, or if they're trying to convince themselves.
