What does a friend mean to you?

What is friendship to be honest i wouldn't know. I just know that a real friend would have my back no matter what. They understand and know you. They care for the friendship to exist and upkeep it even when the other doesn't do really well at it. A real Friend that will jump into danger with you.

Friends are the family you pick. I never really felt connected to my family, or anyone for that matter, until I met some incredible friends. I never really had many friends throughout my life, but the friends I have had, certainly count as family to me. They understand you, connect with you, and share their life with you. It gives you a glimpse into someone else's way of life, way of doing things, the way they see the world. Friendship has been one of the greatest experiences I have had in my life, and essentially the root of all I have learned, my happiness, heartbreak, and so on. For me, no friend has been forever, but each of them I have loved in a different way. They each taught me something so different, and something I am convinced I could've learned only from them. For me, my best friends have been my greatest muses, and the reason I have any passion at all. And as much as I adore being alone, I have had some of my greatest revelations in friendships. My art and writing would be nothing without the people I have met. Even those I burned bridges with, and those I haven't spoken to in years, my life would be nothing without. It's a wonderful thing, and I am lucky I have had the chance to meet such beautiful people in my lifetime. And to me, friends really aren't supposed to be a "forever" thing. Some do stay, but others, they come and go, as painful as it may be, there is some beauty in it. Or at least from what I have felt and seen.

Sometimes it’s just about meeting the right people/person. I’ve had the same two friends that are close, like brothers to me for 13 years now, more than half of my life. I’ve made good online friends on here too, such as lolax for example. Of course not everyone’s gonna be friend material, remember the red flags and work around them. Having a friend to talk to is one of the best things in the world, they are like family you can chose/pick. I like the way that’s worded (^^)b. A friend to me is someone that I’ll always be there for, I’ll go the extra mile and a half for them. I trust my friends, and I can pick up on maliciousness in others easily so I’m not surrounded by it. I will always try for my friends, go to bat for them and stick my neck out for them. A lot of my friends do the same for me and I love them all (^^)b.
