add a stiff shot of brandy to it ...and I agree with V about light roast rather than dark. I used to make espresso with light roast coffee ground fine for a nice boost...of course the brandy kinda defeats the purpose of the having the extra caffeine.

I take a small pot, out a cup of water in, let it boil, put 2 spoons of coffee, let it boil a bit more till it foams then sieve it into a cup

boiling water will burn the coffee and extract the bad parts .. but if you're using preground, its already potting soil

Whole bean is the only way to go. Fresh roasted beans stay fresh for a few weeks after roast date.. once ground, it releases gasses and loses freshness after 12hrs
