I would go back to around 1790 Krasnodar Krai. Be among my Kuban Cossack brothers and stand shoulder to shoulder during the conflicts with the Ottoman Empire of the time. Distinct possibility that I could end up making a causality paradox by making a baby with my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother.

I can't remember which comedian brought it up but they basically boiled it down to: Only white men would ever want to go back in time because most other minorities and genders didn't have it too good way back then

Depends on where you go. I can't imagine a white guy doing well in feudal Japan.

Two Portuguese traders António da Mota and Francisco Zeimoto (Possibly a third named António Peixoto) land on the island of Tanegashima in 1543. They are the first documented Europeans to set foot in Japan.
Not impossible Senpai.

William Adams (24 September 1564 – 16 May 1620), known in Japanese as Miura Anjin (三浦按針: "the pilot of Miura"), was an English navigator who, in 1600, was the first Englishman to reach Japan during a five-ship expedition for a private Dutch fleet. Of the few survivors of the only ship that reached Japan, Adams and his second mate Jan Joosten were not allowed to leave the country while Jacob Quaeckernaeck and Melchior van Santvoort were to go back to the Dutch Republic to invite them to trade. Adams and Joosten settled in Japan and became two of the first ever (and very few) Western samurai.

If possible, I would like to travel to various regions/eras/civilizations to witness or experience the diversity and generality of human society.
