How come christmas gifts

So I don’t celebrate christmas and even after saying don’t get me anything I still do (from work anyway) my family doesn’t get me things which is nice so I go on like a normal day. I got 2 bottles of sake and a bunch of chocolate cookies. And it’s enough to give me overwhelming guilt and anxiety that I got this and I have to give them back. I’m not athiest but should I just say it so work will take it back and not get me anything in the future?

Look at it like a dollar left on the ground. Just put that in your back pocket like it's no one's business. I mean free is free and ain't no one gotta pay nothing back. Worked well for all my friends and I've been giving them free stuff for years! LOL Heck they don't even call me because it isn't about what I get back but what I have to give that matters most. Often gift giving is viewed as commercial but for someone like me to give a gift is a desire to share a piece of my happiness with someone else. To be frank, I don't give a damn if you like me or my mo' fo' cookies! Just take that gift and shove it in yo mouth and enjoy!

I got the shits.... And quite frankly, I'll gladly give it away to someone else.

to be frank christmas is pretty much secular at this point just dont put a star or angel on your xmas tree and itll be completely jesus free that being said maybe give them gifts in return? if you feel really guilty that may be the way to compensate if you dont wanna go through with the hassle of that and the anxiety is too much to just deal with than try and explain to them your feelings and i think giving them back would be alright your mental health is most important after all, and it would set a clear boundary for next year
