What made you join the site?

Due to most people around my area often full of sarcastically-joking rednecks and country guys driving high-rider pickup trucks with tattoos and vaping who don't even find interest in otaku media or Japanese culture. Same with country women often wearing jogging shorts and flipflops, and asking questions without letting answers to be finished. Same boat as country guys. For otaku or Japan-passionate ones, following trends in them can be difficult, too. Fans that give you annoying confidence, fans that insult you to be better than you, and fans that don't interact with you much at all for classified or unspoken reasons.
