You can chose to be public or friends only in the chat window. If you choose public, then you can also see who else is public. I was so focused on it I forgot about the search feature, but I know why I stopped using it. Most of the women haven't been active for a really long time. Which reminds me that I should leave an alternative method of contacting me, just in case I lose interest in the site. Also, thank you for the blessing ;)

Unfortunately, like with most dating sites, you're going to be dealing with a much heavier ratio of guys to girls. Compound that fact with a lot of the girls who do join being minors, people being very spread out, and many who do join aren't necessarily even looking for a relationship. (the site has a tendency to be treated more like a facebook for otaku) It's not always easy to find someone single who lives near you unless you live in a very populous state (like CA, NY, FL, or TX for example) and/or don't mind starting out in a long-distance relationship.

About half the girls are lez too... So always check out profiles.
