What size of age gap is acceptable/preferable in a relationship?

There's all kinds of people on this site, and a wide range of ages. Since it's almost impossible to find someone your exact age, what do you all think is an acceptable age gap? Is it a different limit if they are older or younger? Are there other special terms and conditions? Lemme know fam.

For me it's probably something like 7 years, but that's for people older than me. I really don't want to date minors, might make an exception for 17 yo's but they have to be really mature.

If your gf/bf looks like your mother or father it's too old. Otherwise it's fine. I have a 4-5 years old margin for older/younger, past that I would feel uncomfortable, but I've been told it gets wider as you get older.
