Having zero friends can cause insanity

I am a loner because at an early age, I noticed how some people are complete assholes who think they are gods. But I am not a cynic and I do think there are genuinely good peeps out there. But I am a weeb kind of guy, not the crazy and annoying type. Just the passionate fan type. So, it's hard to find like-minded people. I've thought of anime conventions type of places, but they have too many people and some are fake fans.

I am a loner for two reasons: 1: People don't like me. 2: I hate people.

I do fall into this area. This is due to the fact that most of my old friends have moved onto other things and we don't have the time to hang out or even call, and don't get me started on family. And that study, it is true, I feel my emotional and mental stability crumbling by the day. I'd do something about it, but I have both been in bad experiences and I am shy. And while I could be one of those guys who goes on constant first dates with random people from dating sites to fill the void, I have been through so much that I no longer trust people. I'll say hi, and I'll chat about things, but I won't actually ask someone out until I've already spent enough time to become friends with them first. If anyone wants to, I'd be glad to chat just for the sake of socializing.
