Virtually impossible to find girls who like anime IRL?

key17
lol, master he says. All I mean is that I've seen countless friends of mind fall for that mindset of looking for female otaku instead of looking for friends and good relationships. Do keep in mind that sharing the same hobbies will only take you so far, or not take you anywhere at all; it's not like all otakus are buddy-buddy with each other. Go babe hunting however you want, but don't delude yourself into thinking that an anime girl is just gonna fall out of the sky for you someday if you keep it up. As for myself, I only met my wife out of coincidence. We got stuck on a train on a snowy day, and I invited her to watch a random movie on my laptop to pass the time. We kept in touch, yada yada yada, I only found out later that she was an otaku when I first went to her house. And more think, if you're trying to meet up with people who like anime under that pretext just so that you can have an imaginary shot at finding love is honestly kind of creepy. It WILL show in your behaviour that your intentions are clearly not the same as theirs and your efforts will most likely go unrewarded... That one I know from (painful) personal experience. ...but hey, life is short and random. If you think you know what you're doing, that I won't discouraged from searching love however they please.

That's quite a nice how-we-met story. Obviously, you'll need to start as friends and proceed from there, I really can't see myself just randomly meeting someone on a site and going on a date. And well, this is supposed to be a dating site after all.

It might be called a dating site, but is it really? Beyond the surface I mean.

He gets it.

I can live with that description.

They exist, they just have little incentive to show up on websites like this when they have a large selection of men (weeb and otherwise) hitting on them offline to pick from.

@bff I insulted no one. I'm confident in my stance on the matter and like said, I'm not here to police the way you approach finding your other half. If what you describe is what sounds "logical" to you, then break a leg.

I had really bad luck IRL meeting, not only girls, but even male friends to talk about anime/gaming. The friends I made in high school liked that stuff, but not THAT much. Good friends, yes, but that part on matching interests was lacking. :C
