What Nyaro said is harsh, but it's also true... It's one thing to say it once to put it out there, but what I saw in this conversation wasn't that. Personally, I think suicide is the lazy way out for quitters. Life isn't easy. It requires effort. And anything worth having is worth working for. It's not going to just be handed to you.
@awkward... in your case that's very common. When most people think, "I want to die"... really it's an exaggerated feeling of simply wanting to escape. To escape the embarrassment, or pain, or whatever bad situation they're in... They just want out... They don't really want to die. We all think that at some point in our lives. Especially when we feel like we've hit rock bottom.
If anyone's situation is so bad, that they truly want to die... If you're truly willing to take it to that level... Then there's a thousand other better options available that you could be trying first... At that point, what do you have to lose. If it doesn't work out, you can still kill yourself later... Why not be bold if it's going to be your last days a live.
And if your situation is that bad, then you should be listening to every piece of advice the people around you have to offer. A pity pot has never helped anyone achieve anything.
I don't know what other people have gone through to reach that point... Pain isn't a contest... Personally, I spent 8 years talking my best friend out of suicidal thoughts. And the hell she's lived through would make most who talk about suicide ashamed at how petty their problems were by comparison.
When you have PTSD so bad you're scared to be alone in your own house. That you're scared to go out because you're afraid someone will hurt you again. When you're haunted by memories so horrifying that end up with night terrors so bad you wet yourself. When fear grips you to the point that 'petrified' becomes so literal, you can't move or even scream for the sake of your own safety. Then maybe you'll understand just a fraction of what her life was like.
There were days, months and even years that the pain she was feeling was too much for her or any one person to bare. But she soldiered on through multiple accounts of shit that has killed stronger people than her.
She didn't blame the world for her problems. She didn't drown herself in a pity pot. She didn't make excuses or let herself become cynical and hateful. Instead she fought it everyday. She became a nurse and did everything she could to help people and ease their suffering so they wouldn't have to feel what she felt.
She has literally saved and changed more lives than I can count. And in ways you'd think were total fiction. And all of that never would have happened if she'd given up and given in to suicide.
Even when her own body was killing her... even if her own strength failed and she needed help from others... she didn't quit.
Life takes effort. If you feel you have no purpose in your life, then try helping someone else. Volunteer. Do something nice for the people around you. Give your own life meaning. It's your choice. Take a chance. Nobody is going to hand it to you. Nobody is going to write your story for you.
Because if you're too lazy to even try, then nobody can help you. Your life is your choice.
...
And another thing... If all your watching is hentai, then you're just being a self-indulgent pervert. And your lack of self control is going to end up letting that crap warp your own sense of reality and morality. There's a lot in life you don't get a choice in, but you do get to choose your own actions. Don't over indulge to the point that your perversion turn into a morally and psychologically detrimental addiction. Make the choice to be a better person.

IT'S A TROLL.
But, on the note of depression... It's never a good idea to compare apples to oranges, they just aren't the same. Every case of depression is a little different and just because another has suffered in different ways, doesn't take away from the pain that others suffered because of a chemical imbalance or by other means. It's not a pissing contest, after all and certainly not one I'd wish on anyone else. But, there are solutions for most and that I most certainly do agree on.
