I think the thing people misunderstand is the separation of physical attraction and libido. you can have a sex drive and desire sex while being ace, its one of the more frustrating combinations but it is a real thing.
In a different view, it's like being completely unimpressed and unaffected with the way any food looks while still feeling hungry and enjoying eating. just because the aesthetic is lost on you doesn't mean you don't like eating food.
-also asexual.

Yeah, I get exactly what Alistair means. Although I'm asexual and I'm straight. I classify as the more "Sex positive" kind of asexual. I'm not motivated by sex, nor do I aspire for it. I am in fact ascetically and emotionally attracted to girls, but I only really start developing sexual attraction if I have a mutual emotional connection with someone. That doesn't mean my sex drive is turned off the rest of the time, merely that I don't direct it towards anyone until I've reached a certain point with them. The rest of the time? Eh. What do most otaku do when they have 8 hours of alone time, coupled with boredom, a certain mood, and the internet?
(And this is why I will likely never reproduce. XD)

1% straight because I'd never be/date with another male only female. 99% asexual because drunk or sober I don't participate in any kind of booty call.

Chocoppyro have you ever lookeod up the term demisexual? That seems to fit your description alot better. Asexuals never experience sexual attraction even after a bond, its the lack of sexual attraction. Demisexual is the same but once you form that emotional bond, with someone, you start to experience it.
I find people pleasing to look at but never feel "man i wanna jump into bed with them" even after being together for a while and creating a bond. There is also grey ace which is in the middle of ace and demi and i feel that i where i belong because i've only felt that attraction towards one person.
(im also sapiosexual)

Yeah, pretty much. Could be high standards, could be demi-sexual like some of my friends say(I don't like that term much), but all the same I've yet to come across a real person I've found sexually attractive. Then again, no one really seems to care about their appearance these days so can you even blame a guy?

I would't blame you, but plenty care about their appearance a little too much, I don't think there is a lack of it. I myself, care but I also don't wear makeup or wear dresses or try to dress uncomforablly. I dress how i want to and not to attract attention to myself. Basically if i can post a picture with my hair crazy and in sweat pants a t-shirt and someone till says "you're beautiful" unless they're talking out their *** then i'd really believe them

Hmm. I do apologize PandaArmyFuher, because what I am about to say isn't judgment, but rather a predicate to something I will ask.
Basically, it is this. I have had no inherent sexuality from the day I was born, because for a very long time, I was pretty much entirely ignorant to the world of sexuality.
I would have remained so, if a certain "situation" didn't happen.
So because of this "situation" I dealt with, not only did I only lose any interest in a specific sex/gender, but also lost pretty much any sense of desire for any sexuality in general due to trauma.
So what I want to know is this:
Does the term "asexual" apply to me as well, despite a somewhat romantic desire for women? I don't desire sexuality, but rather emotional shelter and personal romantic and emotional validation in a woman. I would only participate if said partner wanted it. Which is fine, because despite not having a sexual attraction, I do happen to have some form of overactive libido.
I see myself as not having a sexual preference or whatnot at birth, because I was kinda forced into the world of sexuality rather than having one at the start. So I am kind of confused as to where I land in this weird, confusing world of human sexuality. I simply state myself as hetero, since my personal emotional investment is in women. I detest men in general anyways...
