sleep drunkenness and lucid dreaming?

kawa
I have a hard time getting out of bed even if I get all the sleep in the world as every time I wake up I feel like I had just got done topping off the second bottle of vodka. For the first few minutes of getting up I get very confused and think it's still the dream world. Most of my dreams are realistic and have a feeling of reality and when I wake up naturally or from the alarm I can feel like I was just dropped off on an alien world. I ask where the hell em I? I look around and remember what a fan is and what a bed is and then I'm normal. Do you guys always wake up half asleep in lala land or do you wake up ready to go?

Lala land. If I have to be up by 6, I have to set my alarm for 5. I am not bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning. I'm more awake late at night, but as I get older the night gets earlier. Instead of 3 am it's getting tired at 11pm.XD What you almost sound like you're going thru when you first wake up is called dissasociation disorder. It's like even though you're you, you feel like you're not. Kind like an out of body experience while you're awake.

I feel like me but I have to remember the real world becasue I'm still asleep and I need to roll out of the dream world and remember where I am. I think it could be two things I wake up to fast and have to collect where I am or I wake up to slow and I'm tip towing out of sleep and into an being awake. I normally go to bed at 9-10 and wake up at 5-6 I set my alarm to 7 to keep me from over sleeping.

I have had that happen to me sometimes. I like to think of it as a guy walking around the office building of your brain flicking on all the lights. Sometimes your body cant be up and running all at once. You would probably be extremely susceptible to hypnotism.

@kawa that's somehow strange 'cause that kind of thing is sometimes related to sleep deprivation, but u go to sleep on time according to your waking hour... I do wake up very confused in the morning and tired but is because I don't sleep enough most of the time. I'm a bit of an owl. Is it maybe that you're just too tired? and 7 hours are not enough sleep?

I've tried a lot of stuff but nothing really changes how I wake up other than sleeping in the day and getting up at night. I was told by a dr that it's most likely my natural clock but I'll just live with it it's not world ending or anything.
