There's a small (less than 1cm) spot on the very tip of my tongue that is completely numb. I had a few issues with sticking my tongue out, causing me pain when doing voice acting so I decided to have a lingual frenectomy performed, cutting off the membrane holding the underside of the tongue. They botched the surgery a bit, cutting a nerve. It's gotten better, but after over a year it's still there, numb. It hasn't affected my sense of taste so it's not a huge deal to me, but I've learned just how much you take for granted the sense of touch you use with the tip of your tongue.

Believe it or not, Japan is actually pretty low when it comes to places I'd like to visit. If I go I'd mainly want to go to arcades and try some Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. Somewhat related fact: I learned Japanese in the first place because I was interested in playing untranslated Japan-only video games. :u
