Basically I agree with how Arc described it. "Narratively it was genius." I remember the elation I felt when it finally showed it was Abraham. I knew with how things were going for him when Season 6 ended he was the likely target. Then I was crushed on the second target. Over the years of watching the show I have felt Glenn was the representation of me. He just delivered pizzas before it happened, maybe due to the shaken economy at the time the series started. When I left college my career start was rocky. Then you saw how nerdy he was. Likely he was into video games with his quick reflexes and strategic moves around the areas they encountered. He thought outside the box. He was the right age; still young enough to not know everything and look to elders for advice, but old enough to have freedom to roam alone if he so chose.
Over the years of watching, Glenn has had many close calls and I always laughed at my friends saying, "He's not dead. They can't kill him yet. He's practically the only Asian left." But it was more than that. He was the representation of a type and a generation. I don't know which spirit animal character still living I belong to now. *sob sob*

to be honest i was disappointed the first death was pretty much obvious but the 2 death did surprise me but not really shocking based on the comics i sorta wish they kill off his GF NOW that would been a shock value. they should have done this during last season cliff hanger which was awful by the way..
though what shock me the most was when Negan was breaking rick down physically/mentally now that sold the episode for me...

i stopped watching after season 3 i didnt like where they were taking the story. it stopped being about zombies and more about the people trying to kill them and junk and they threw a few zombies in here and there. but i watched the newest episode (wanted to see what the buzz was about) only thing about the episode i found kinda sad was the asian guy. everything else was meh

Nah fam. He's still alive after meeting "Lucille." Them writers are tricky. He's was hiding his real head under the leaves(even more conventional than his hiding under a dumpster)

Real talk tho since this is "Serious" thread. No. Was not quite ready for the impact. But it fleshes out Negan's archnemesis nature and from this point out: "U never know who's gonna go next" concept. Especially since theres gona be deviation from the comics moving on. Interesting to see how they'll end it, but this whole negan thing will drag out as long as they want it to.
(If it helps at least we still got Daryl O_o) Maybe we'll see some of how Glenn rubs off on the growth of the remaining people(they'll play that on Maggie's a lot)

After watching Game of Thrones I learned not get too attached to characters in shows or movies. But what made Glenn's death particularly tragic apart from the fact his child will never know him, was the fact he was one of the only remaining characters from Season 1. All that is left is Rick, Carl, Carol and Morgan. Now I just hope Maggie lives because she is the last character standing from season 2.

to be honest I stopped watching after season 4 but I always catch the glimpse of it and I watch whenever glen and daryl is involve. until season 7 came out I was like "GLEEEEEN NO f****** waaaaay!!! give me a baseball bat guys and let me beat that shit to get a satisfying revenge for him!"*cries loudly*
I like him~ He always had so many nerve wracking scene that made me shout "No no no" but will laugh afterwards when he is fine or alive. dumpster scene is the best. lol
the last few episodes of season 6 got me watching again and a cliff hanger too. sheesh.
anyways I felt sad coz Rick is slowly breaking down emotionally and physically like Hikifroggy said.

I just watched it now. Fuck me that was brutal. The tension was crazy and I cried like a baby. I'm actually still reeling from it now. I wont put any spoilers but I'm gutted. What a start to the new season though.
