GTX 1070 vs GTX 1080

My mantra is to wait a few months for an even cheaper version. That being said... I'm still rockin a GTX 260 (aka I've been waiting 8 years!!) (#WOMP) Not even sure what I'd do with all that power. What do you plan to do with all that power? :P

Depends on what you see yourself doing later on. If you see yourself going 4k in the near future then go with the 1080. But if possible, just get what you need now. If the performance benefits you would probably won't notice go with the cheaper option. I have a gtx 750 ti but it's been showing its age and not keeping up with my game library. I love playing at high,ultra high on 1080p (monitor I have) I also like modding my games which take a look of VRAM. I'll probably have to upgrade in the near future too.
