Anyone actually here for dating?

Despite not really being given 'matches' I actually really like this site so far. I've made more friends in the past few hours than I could anywhere else and it doesn't feel forced or awkward its all just really casual and open and I like that. Everyone's been so nice.

Though some sites tend to use bots / staff members to encourage the users "for research purposes".. just be careful. It's worth reading the disclaimers

I'm starting to think this has become another forum site. It's really friendly though and several people helped me out tremendously!~ :3 I love this site, though I do believe it lost what made it stand out from other sites. Not many people date here anymore.

There are plenty of people who are here for dating and finding that special someone. But like real life, it's tough for people to find the person they feel is just right for them - but whether they feel the same is an entirely different matter. So y'know, the usual just like IRL. Although being amongst fellow nerds and nerdettes - the site has a nice, carefree atmosphere to it where people are geeking out together about anime and stuff which I love.

Just another try at the forum today, and I've been roaming around through a lot of topics. I see a few problems just by the skin of this forum's teeth. 1.: Not too many people are using their own IRL pics to show whom they are; therefore, creating a friendly atmosphere rather than one meant for dating. (Don't get me wrong, a good atmosphere is better than none). However, if their is only topics about random skype calls with strangers, physique debates, and disorganized "local area" discussions with people who may be uncomfortable to open up about their private information (reasonable of course). Than how is the forum probable to making relationships; rather than, having a high "friendship" rate. Since this is the area for a serious discussion I can say as I wish, but be reasonable (of course). A few people reading this right now may think that I am being hateful, but really.. I'm not. I see that this forum is welcoming to those who have similar interests in manga, anime, etc... To also contridict myself for a moment by saying thyat this website allows members to be happy and express themselves without judgement of the people around them IRL. Though this may be true, there seems to be some guidlines, or something missing in assisting members to become more closer to one another (odds are you probably just said "duh.. it's a forum with strangers", or something of the sort). However, as someone who is looking for someone on this forum (who just made himself look bad by being blunt xD ), I do believe that for the benefit for the members of this forum is that there needs to be something designed to assist them of who is the "best" localized, match-worthy, people they can talk to. Organization is the word I wanna use. :)

i bet if only members could see pics of each other, people would want to use pics of themselves more i guess it isnt really a site theres a lot of people without usernames looking around. maybe make it so it is because its not much of a dating site

I'm here for dating buuuut...my expectations are low since it seems there aren't many others looking to date. Still, I'm enjoying making friends!
