Advice : Stop wasting your lifes on trophies. As an ex-trophy hunter (Falcon-444) with about 27 or 28 plats with twice as many games at 90% or close I can say it s the most effective way to be a no lifer. If you wanna hate I dont care. I just say things as I personally see them.

I like getting all the trophies in games, but it's largely sort of a compulsivity problem where I get obsessed about feeling like I don't want to leave anything unfinished. Although, sometimes I do genuinely like to feel like I've overcome a ridiculous challenge just for the fun of it; i.e. getting all S-Ranks on Revengeance difficulty in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Sometimes I definitely do just have to give up though, particularly if the trophy is gruelingly tedious. A perfect example is J-Stars Victory Vs. I will probably never Platinum that game because you have to play through the boring, long-ass story mode THREE times. Final Fantasy XIV is another great example, there's no way I'll EVER do all that grinding for materials. Anything else that's unfinished right now I basically have every intention of coming back to eventually. I don't ever buy games just for trophies, though. That seems crazy to me. Trophy hunting is fun especially if it's rare. I honestly don't care as much as I used t. If it doesn't do anything than there's no point in getting it(at least in my mind).

I'm not a trophy hunter in any way. @Shawnji I just looked at that site, the person at number 1 has 48,222 trophies o.0 http://psnprofiles.com/Roughdawg4

I like trophies because of their puns most of the time. But I mainly get trophies when I try to get as close to 100% as I can normally.

I just play for fun. I don't want gaming to turn into a tedious chore.

@Assam Sometimes multiple people will actually share a single account. It could also be a hacker. I'm very suspicious about that profile being legit; although most of the times spent getting to 100% look pretty reasonable. I just find it hard to believe that anyone could have that much time. You'd have to have absolutely no life whatsoever.

I do it for some games. The ones I feel are worth putting the time into doing it.

The only PS game I ever got 100% trophies with was mercenaries 2.
