It keeps getting better and better. So after I requested tomorrow off to get this doctor's appointment I get an email saying my company already decided to shut down for the weather on Wednesday. They will being paying everyone that was scheduled to work that day a full wage... I drove a hour to my appointment only to find the doors locked. Looks like they closed without telling me. I had even asked if they planned on rescheduling me last night and was told no. Kinda miffed.

I'm sorry, G. Can't say you're not trying your best. I would be beyond frustrated. Especially after being told they would remain open.

I hope everyone is doing well. Despite my own challenges I do worry about other's plights. It really is the Devil's luck for many people this year. Apropos that it became the year of the snake right after having been the dragon. Honestly it truly is in Christ's hands at this juncture. As it was written that a man toils under the sun only to find solace in the darkness of his own heart. His pleasure fleeting and ultimately a fruitless end. One lost to time. Time is an apathetic entity caring for neither foe nor friend. Vanity the lot of it. But enough about lame-o existentialism! Let's keep going! I have faith we will make it. Not as we were, but what we are to become in His future. A future outside the realm of time. Amen!

A silver lining today is I found out not only did my company retroactively decide to pay me for yesterday, though I requested off, but they're paying me again today for another day off. The only thing I now have to contend with is attempting to set up another appointment with the GI doctor. Glass half empty and full. But thank you to Christ for at least giving me something.
