Minimum wage was supposed to be the minimum needed to survive (House,food, transportation, clothes....) and not the minimum companies are willing to pay. Federal minimum at $7.25 is an insult. But, at least states are slowly changing that.

@yaasshat It's called a competitive wage for a reason.
It's so companies can compete amongst one another as to which can pay the lowest, heh!
So far American restaurants have been winning that competition for nearly a century with $3 an hour "plus tips" if you're lucky.

With all this AI stuff. It got me curious. How do neural networks work under the hood? To find the answer to that question. I went on an adventure. Oh, big fucking mistake. I went deep into the rabbit hole. That adventure became an obsession. It'll probably take years upon years to learn everything. I don't have the time to learn all that shit. Yet here I am. Just learning it for fun. Probably wasting my time. But probably not? I have an idea for a use case for my own personal neural network. I've set a goal where I should stop. I need to set the goal. Otherwise I won't stop.

If I had to mathematically describe a neural network in one sentence. It is a optimized Jacobian matrix. Feedforward part was easy peazy. Backpropagation part was a bitch to get down. Matrix sizes have to match for matrix multiplication. I couldn't get the dimensions to match. I had to go back to kindergarten math. It didn't help that I couldn't see how 3D tensors were compacted down to 2D tensors. I couldn't picture in my head. I literally almost had to take the partial ∂ of every row. Until it finally clicked. I could see it. Time to code. No neural network libraries, no Tensorflow, no Pytorch, do that bitch from scratch. That was fun. Haha! Numerical overflow! Gradient explode to infinity! Well ain't that a bitch. You have to normalize the inputs from 0 to 1. Otherwise shit quite literally explodes to infinity. I fixed that. Finally got it working. I have a lot more thoughts on the subject, but that's enough for now.

Went to work today for overtime. Company lost power 4 hours into shift. 2 hours later I was sent home with compensation pay for hours lost.
Effectively I worked a 4 hour shift and got paid 10 hours plus time and a half to leave the job early.

I wonder if my context clues are impeccable or im just good at bullshitting. I notice I use alot of words i absolutely dont know the meaning up but the context is always right. I end up googling the word to see if i used it correctly. Then it actually was used in the right context. Thats kinda cool, especially when all throughout elementary and middleschool teachers categorized me as being severely below average in vocabulary and speech.
