Rice alcohol has a stronger concentration than wheat based liquor. So a small amount goes a long way. My former roommate loved eating at a Korean restaurant that served rice beer and the woman warned him not to be disappointed by the can size because it packs twice the punch as a typical American beer. @hell_hound7

Sake is made with fermented rice. And yes it's tiny for a reason. If put in an American size can or bottle you'd be in danger of serious damage to your liver.

Simply use this as a rule of thumb when consuming alcohol. 70% concentration is the average used in over the counter rubbing alcohol for disinfecting. A Bacardi is called 40 proof because it contains around 40% concentration. A typical American beer is worth 8%. Rice wine is 18%. Drinking 2 bottles would be 36% which is almost the same as one Bacardi. *Revision to my earlier comment about PROOF %* I double checked the proof system and learned 40 proof is worth half. So Bacardi is actually 20%. Drinking 1 sake is effectively the same as 1 Bacardi.
