A buddy of mine played chess with the #2 player in the world today online, got checkmated in 4 moves, my buddy is not a bad chess player either. Fucking genius guy is.

@bruschettebites good chess players can decide a game within the first play. Sometimes your opponent starting first is a game deciding factor as well. Its crazy i never know how intense that world was until i started playing shogi. Its basically like chess but damn its hard af.

@hell_hound7 @bruschettebites That's why Queen's Gambit was such a good series. It discusses all the defenses and strategies of playing chess. I used to play a guy that was INFURIATING because he knew some of those quick tricks that would give him a win in 3-4 moves. It's like 4 episodes, I guess more like a mini-series.
