Random thoughts...

The common goal of Humanity should be to reach out to the stars and find new planets to settle on. The world leaders should see this goal as one big group project and be willing to accept any and all contributions and share notes to bring everybody up to speed in terms of technology. The biggest hurdles of this project would be the 7 deadly sins of Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Pride, Sloth, and Wrath. If every single person could recognize when they are acting as one or multiple of these hurdles and help others realize as well we as a species could start to make some progress. The language barrier is also a big problem so if there's an aspiring inventor out there who can make a translator earpiece so that humans can communicate regardless of what language they speak, it'll make jumping over the big hurdles even easier.
