Being too busy.

too busy for what? Need full context.

When I tell people I am too busy I just mean I am tired and want to rest for two seconds before having to do something else. Could be that, but not sure.

Calling it bullshit may be a bit too early. I mean, what is this person doing? Does he/she have a high-power position in some Fortune 500 company? If yes, then yeah, you should trust them when they say they're busy. :D Personally, it depends on my priorities at any given time. If I am near an important deadline, I really mean it when I say I'm too busy to answer anything. I'm too busy to even eat and/or sleep, let alone reply to messages or hang out! I extend the same courtesy to others by leaving them alone when they say they're busy. But if you are sure that the person is outright lying about being busy, i.e. he/she is too busy to answer you, but not busy for anyone else, that's when you should start thinking about priorities again. Maybe you're just not a priority to that person. Good luck, and I hope things get clearer and better for you! :)

Can't forget that there are different types of busy – like if it's "I'm going out and don't have time to reply to you" busy versus "my job requires that I fly to Belgium at 2AM tomorrow morning and don't have time to reply to you" busy, then depending on which it is your perspective needs shifting. And without the context, it's pretty hard for anyone to actually comment on it. EDIT: clearly my opinion is being entirely ignored by Ed so I'm just gonna delete my other posts
